Avast notified me that my VLC player should be updated, but when I tried doing it with Avast itself, it couldn’t upgrade the program for some reason, and told me to do it manually. I went to VideoLAN’s website and picked the latest version download. When I got done downloading, however, Avast suddenly alarmed me that the downloaded file was infected with threat named “Win32:Evo-gen[Susp]”, so was moved straight to the virus chest. I went there and scanned the “vlc-2.2.1-win32.exe.part” file again and it showed that the file was not infected with anything, but I haven’t done anything else to it by now.
False positive maybe?
