When i connect Avast VPN to united kingdom and then do a ip address check it shows my location as being in Dallas, US. when i change country on avast vpn to france the ip address checker shows my location as Florida US.
What is going on?

I have exactly the same problem ! Connected in France, IP address in the US ! It is a huge problem for my work and they are doing nothing about it. 3 times I contacted the customer support, they were supposed to contact me, I am still waiting ! They don’t seem to want to do anything about it. It will end I will ask for a refund.
You had the chance to talk with somebody about it ? Your problem is solved ?

J’avais ce problème depuis plusieurs jours. Ce matin, j’ai fait ceci dans le menu d’Avast VPN:
Aller dans « menu »
puis dans « paramètres »
décocher « exclure les réseaux privés » et « autoriserl’accès au réseau local lorsque le VPN est activé »
Chez moi, maintenant, quand je choisis, par exemple “France”, cela fonctionne.
Je n’ai plus l’indication que je me trouve aux Etats-Unis.
J’espère que ceci pourra vous aider.
ok mais quand on est dans un hotel à l’étranger et qu’on utilise son wi fi, votre solution s’applique t elle ?
En ce qui me concerne, quand je commence à utiliser le vpn sur “paris”, ça va. Mais, au bout de “un certain temps”, je suis localisé à Dallas. Pour revenir à Paris (qui est pourtant affiché), je suis obligé de faire un tour par Barcelone avant de revenir sur Paris. Et là , tout va bien.
Sauf que, lorsque je veux regarder TF1 ou Canal +, je suis toujours localisé “à l’étranger” malgré le vpn me plaçant à Paris !
Je pense aussi, comme Charlotte, me faire rembourser et/ou annuler mon abonnement au VPN Avast.
