I’m using VPN Secure (not Avast’s VPN Secure line) as my VPN provider. The win10 64bit desktop program will not connect when the mail shield “scan inbound mail” setting is checked. Is there a workaround to have this setting enabled and have the VPN connect?
This has been resolved via VPNSecure support. Adding the fix for anyone who may have this issue in the future.
Avast sees the AES-256 cipher encryption as email traffic based on the use of port 110. Switching the encryption to AES-128 uses a different port and the connection works.
