How about checking your date/time settings in windows? :slight_smile:

Hi,

I just checked my date and time settings. For some reason the date was set to September, I changed that back to August. I changed my time settings yesterday, so maybe something went wrong.

However my Windows Security System still says that my VPS-file is no longer up to date. I manually updated the VPS-file and I indeed have the most recent file.

FIREWALL: WORKING
AUTOMATIC UPDATES: - WORKING
VIRUS-PROTECTION: - Avast 4.6.991.{ VPS-File 1531.1} is possibly outdated

VIRUS-PROTECTION: - Avast 4.6.991.{ VPS-File 1531.1}
Hopefully this is a typo as the current version is 4.6.691 and the current VPS is 0531-2 (today's update).

Changing the date back may not be enough, try pasting the registration key back in again (you did keep the email with it in, didn’t you). Reboot may also nudge windows security centre to use the changed date for the check.

Sometimes things get out of synch so try a repair of avast. Add Remove programs, avast! Anti-Virus, Change/Remove button and scroll down to Repair, click next and follow. You need to be on-line to do this.
