I am having trouble with the automatic updating of the VPS files. I recently moved to Nigeria and am using the internet through our hospital compounds LAN. Since arriving here, everytime my computer starts up and the Avast program looks for the VPS update I get an popup window error message that says “avast Antivru setup The prozy needs authorization” I did a little checking on these forums but didn’t see any way to solve it. There was something about changes the LAN settings for IE that I am using, but I also need the advance LAN settings to access our network so didn’t see that as very helpful.
Any ideas
I can only assume that your LAN either uses a proxy port for you to connect to the Internet or requires that you log-on/authentication to connect to the internet ?
