Hi, yesterday evening I have updated my avast to the new program version number 7.0.1466. Since that moment I haven’t received any new VPS update…the last one on my avast is number 120821-0. Is this the last virus definitions update or there is a problem with my avast? Thanks
Just posted the same thing in the other thread and then saw your post, I also have not had one, other post look page 5.
Thanks a lot for your info I hope a new VPS update will come soon…
You can monitor the VPS Update History here, http://www.avast.com/virus-update-history. That there are times when this page is behind the actual release, normally it is updated automatically when a VPS is released.
VPS 120822-0 has just hit the servers. I got it when I manually checked via AvastUI.
21.8.2012 - 120822-0This VPS update contains only fixes to existing definitions or removal of false alarms.
Oddly, in AvastUI, the release date is 8/21/2012, 3:23:15 AM
I have updatet manually the VPS and now the number is 120822-0. The strange thing is that the date and the our of release are the same of the previous VPS number 120821-0. It says that the VPS 120822-0 has been released on 21th of august 2012 at 9.23 AM. Why this weirdness?
I would say it is the same as the previous VPS version release, there are times when the current and reported information displayed are out of sync. Try a reboot and see if that resolves it.
Looks like you are right:
From Avast:
21.8.2012 - 120822-0
This VPS update contains only fixes to existing definitions or removal of false alarms.
21.8.2012 - 120821-0

“We’ve just released 120822-1, everything should be ok now. Thanks for info.”
Yes VPS update 120821-1 has just been released and that resolves the weird released date/time associated with VPS update 120821-0.
Ok, thanks a lot, just updated the new VPS. All is working fine now
