Can some one please help me understand how updates work in a managed environment.
When using ADNM, do clients automatically pull the VPS and program updates by themselves from the Mirror or do I have to run (push) an update task from ADNM/AMS to do the updates on a scheduled basis?

Based on our experience in using ADNM what does you need is to push update to your existing clients thru ADNM.
Clients only can got automaticlly update since his/her not in managed environment.

the virus definitions are taken automaticly from the ADNM.
program updates however are not automaticly pushed, you need to manually update the ADNM server and then you have to push the program updates
As WPN mentioned it was true, so clients from ADNM you can set to updated automatically but instead that you can set daily push update.But for programs you should push update from ADNM and can’t set as automatically update.
