Can’t install VPS update.The following report is:

ST:0xFFFFFFFF

You need to update avast! to 4.8.1335.

Right Click on the avast! blue ball, select Update, and click on Program Update.

It will tell you to restart your system. Click Yes.

If that fails, repair your installation:
Go to Control Panel > Add/Remove programs > avast! antivirus > Remove. Then choose Repair function in the popup window (Repair).
If this does not help, can you uninstall / boot / install / boot again?
