I run the Folding@Home distributed computing software. I also have avast! set to generate the VRDB when my computer is idle. Will Folding@Home cause avast! to percieve the computer as busy, preventing it from generating the VRDB?
Well use another option, I use Generate Now to run it manually (default auto generation is every three weeks) at a time that is convenient to me. I think though the when the computer is idle relates to no mouse activity.
I assume that folding@home only runs when the computer is idle also, it however, may wait until it is truly idle not just no mouse activity, in which case it should wait for the VRDB to complete.
VRDB will be generated when mouse is not moved (and keyboard not pressed) for 8 seconds.
If you give any input to your PC within these 8 sec VRDB will NOT start generating.
