VRDB-NOT DONE YET

VRDB-NOT DONE YET-when i opening avast i see this thing what i can to do…[color=Pink]

Usually the VRDB is generating while the computer is idle or the screensaver is running, but if you want you can generate it with right click on the i icon in tray menu and then click Generate VRDB now

What can you do when the “i” icon has disappeared?

I can’t figure out how to get it back (or why it disappeared in the first place) & I would like to run this while my computer is idle.

I believe your icon has just been hidden, it will still be working when you idle your computer.

i dont see “I” on taskbar

The icons have been merged.

To see the icons seperately at all times:
Right-click on the avast! icon, got to VRDB, and check Split to two icons (avast" and VRDB)

OK…normally I am pretty computer savvy, but this one is getting me. LOL

I can’t even see where VRDB is listed when I right click on the avast icon. :-\

Other than the message “VRDB-NOT DONE YET”…I can’t even see any referances to the VRDB at all. ???

Thanks for the help, btw.

If you don’t see this

Then I would imagine that the menu hasn’t been merged and there is another reason for the icon not being displayed.

That’s what I thought. :frowning:

The window that pops up when I right click on the avast! icon is just for the anti-virus. There is no referance to the VRDB database at all.

It shows in my history of “hidden icons” when I load my start bar customization, but it isn’t showing as current. Several other icons have disappeared as well.

I am running XP Pro, after getting a new computer, so I am not as familiar with it’s idiosyncracies as I was with ME.

Guess I’ll keep searching for what is wrong. LOL

So from your words I understand that lister’s sugestion did’t worked… ???

Well the history shows only the icons that were in the tray menu .
You can try to disable the autohide inactive icons in >>> left click on the task bar>properties>and uncheck the Hide inactive incons just to see if the i icon will apear

Yup, did that. LOL They don’t come back. ::slight_smile:

I know that they WERE there, but I don’t know where they are NOW. LOL
