guys
probably most of you guys have the known “LVPrcSrv.exe” problem
this problem eats your computer alive while in screensaver mode
what if LVPrcSrv.exe is actually the VRDB, because, that should use alot of resources and it activates at screensaver
what do you think?
Never heard that VRDB (an obsolete technology of version 4.8 of avast) uses other process than the usual ones.
It seems to belong to Logitech (http://www.processlibrary.com/directory/files/lvprcsrv )
And could eat the CPU: http://forums.logitech.com/t5/Webcams/LVPrcSrv-exe-uses-99-CPU/m-p/1936
i know all that stuff, i even have a quickcam, but what supprises me is that its eating it every time when its in screensaver mode, and so does VRDB, so maybe some conflict happened in the registry and lets the system think LVPrcSrv.exe belongs to avast
never say never

Disable VRDB and check whether its still there. Disable Logitech service and see whether it is VRDB or logitech.
I don’t see why you are still in the v4 when v5 is out? Any problems? Or is it the love for v4? ;D
And also VRDB is an obsolete technology as Tech mentioned. Its absent in v5.

I will say never… Sorry, non sense.
Search the forum for “LVPrcSrv” and you’ll see that everything belongs to Logitech.
i know but i mean what if some registry conflict appeared, and i’m still on the old one because i’m to lazy to download the new one
Don’t be lazy with security. Prevention is easier than cure
but i liked the older design
I like the newer and orange avast with more powerful protections
