“Re[2]: our private photos”.

Risk:
Due to its distribution W32/Mimail.C@mm is estimated to be
medium risk.

Culpeper, from where did you get this virus alert?
Won´t avast! start this kind of service?
Is avast! capable to catch this variant? It not so easy to find this in webpage and virus info… Variants always confuse the user because the ‘main virus name’ is shown into the vps.file but not the variants… :-\

Of course it is able to detect it :). And the list of added virus detection is very easy to spot: http://www.avast.com/i_idt_1404.html

fprot email alert

Is it free? I mean, the F-Prot for DOS version allow this service or just F-Prot for Windows (not free)…

You can subscribe to the email service from their website. I needed to try a few different email addresses before I got one they liked for some reason but it works pretty good.

I believe Fprot uses the same definition files for DOS and Windows Fport scanner. The email service covers all operating systems though. It also lets you know when a new DOS, Linux, Windows, and so forth versions are available.

Thank you very much. I’ll love if avast! has this same service…
Everything happens like you said, I try to subscribe 3 times (but with the same email address), at the third I receive an email for confirm the subscription.

Any other one interested, jusk click here. 8)

Edit: now I receive three emails. Probably the service will work at the first time…

Yeah, for some reason it didn’t like my personal email address. I needed to use a web address before I got confirmation for the email subscription.
