Hi all,
The below mentioned virus keeps coming back even after I put it in the chest. I’ve read about other variants of this virus being a false alarm, which I also expect this one to be. Anyone got the same problem and will a new(er) definitions file eliminate the problem… or…?
W32:Trojan-gen. {Delphi} - see attached graphics for details.

You can check the file here: http://www.kaspersky.com/remoteviruschk.html
to see if Kaspersky reports it too. You can also send it to virus@asw.cz .
BTW: I can not see the attachement!?

Tried the kaspersky-no virus found
I don’t understand why the attachment doesn’t show up - any ideas?

…as an addendum to my own post I found something useful - have a look at the following link:
http://battleforums.com/history/show/25372.html
This is a description of how to remove the little bugger. Tried it and my problem is gone.
BTW, I tried in an earlier post to attach picture where you could see the result of the Avast scanner, but attaching the file/picture did not work?! The infected file in question was located at c:\windows\system32\dxdgns.dll

I also have this happening.
A few days ago, before i shut down my computer for the night, i got a reoccurring problem where a small window would keep popping up saying Error in the title bar and then ‘runtime error 5 in [i believe a hexidecimal number]’. Of course, there was a number where I typed that. It would keep popping up even after hitting ok. I checked in task manager to see what program or messed up task could be causing this. I noticed that every few seconds a process, msnnuu.com would quickly pop up and then disappear at which time IEXPLORE.EXE would run. Ending process tree did not help, nor did restarts, in addition to slow/wierd shut downs and restarts. I suspected a virus, so I downloaded avast, and it did detect one, the same one you mentioned, smae location. I initially tried to repair, but it didnt work, and then tried to delete all prior to boot after restart. Many files were deleted but that same one would keep returning. I tried a system restore but it did not complete.
Btw, a major problem here too is that after disconnecting from the internet to prevent information gathering by the virus, all the IEXPLORE’s keep slowing down the system, each instance using around 9000k of resources.

Sounds like your IE was hijacked.
Please post a hijackthis log: http://www.tomcoyote.org/hjt/
Download then unzip the file and double click on the “HijackThis” icon.
When finished loading click on the “Scan button”.
Next click on the “Save Log” button. Save the log somewhere you will remember and open the log file with notepad. Then copy the contents and paste them in a reply to be checked.
