Greetings:
First time poster here. I’m not sure this is the correct spot, but here goes…
For the last week or so I’ve been getting Threat Blocked window with the object http//w3p.checktrx.com/w3p.js I have browsed for answers as to what this is, and find it has become an issue spanning all web browsers, and all antiviruses. Running a scan results in “No issues found”. The forums for other platforms, antivirus providers, and browsers all have people posting about it, but no help is being offered, just the usual runaround.
Today Avast popped up with the Threat Blocked window, and I wasn’t even online. This concerns me a great deal. Do any of you know what this is, why it’s become a problem, and what I might do to stop it? I’ve tried the usual things already. Uninstalled, reinstalled browsers. Root scan, full virus scan, and quick scan come up with nothing. I’ve also run Adwcleaner with the same results. Any help on this would be very much appreciated. (this is where I’m reminded by others I’m a total idiot, lol). Thank you in advance.
