I’m not detecting any malware in those logs. I would advise to turn off the Sidebar but that is a personal choice. Let me know how the Update (OS) goes. Looks good.
I did disable gadgets by going into “Windows Features” and unclicking + reboot

Ran SFC…no issue, ran CHKDSK and some small stuff so did a /F on reboot…fixed…runs faster.
Installed MBAE…have MBAM Pro, Avast 12.x, CryptoPrevent as my A/V-MW items…balance of free, fast, good.
I need to run AdwCleaner, MBAM & Avast Full Scans.
After that a LONG Defrag…guessing HDD is fragged big time.
Then, try MS Updates.
All goes well…and FAST…a Macrium Image backup. 
Sounds good and solid thinking.
Wow, took 2.5 days to defrag…20 passes…analysis took almost 8 hours and first pass about 12 hours…Wow !
Prior to this both the online Update and mass local EXE update just spun and spun.
Once defrag done…was MUCH quicker…rebooted…PC settled and after about 2 minutes “Updates Notice” popped up in system tray. Yeah !!!
Still have to run full Avast Scan.
I’ve had problems with W7 updater in past on other machines being slow to link so I now think there is relationship between speed of machine and Windows Server.
I’m now performing 1GByte updates since mid-2015 (my image date)…from there probably Avast Full then Defrag, then image.
Funny thing is…this PC has a scheduler for Defrag weekly but may have been just too much cr@p on machine for it to have done the items it needed properly.

I’ve seen that in the past and with all the real-time defrag software out nowadays, have forgotten how much work ‘maintaining’ the system to help it run smoothly actually was. Good to see that this is working out for you. Glad we could be of some assistance and let us know how it goes.
OK…weird…it said it downloaded 1GByte updates but then got stuck on installing 12 or some large #.
I had to reboot and then it only showed couple updates including framework with alot failed.
I did the one W7 it showed first…then framework…both installed.
Showed on reboot no updates…which is BS.
I ran check and local install package and again just ran and ran.
Was able to run MBAM…1.5 hours…and Avast 12 FULL…9.2hours…scans and OK…but obviously VERY long.
I ran SFC…no problems.
So, going back and running Defrag…seeing what happens after that.
Not sure what is going on…it was running VERY quick after last defrag.
I’ll keep plugging along.
I seem to remember that I had to throttle the updates in Win7 more than once or it would hang. Seems that MS and Win7 couldn’t handle more than 10 updates at time.
Good tip…doing defrag now…will “hopefully” get updates to come up again…if so, will limit to 8 check per time.
OK…defragged again…this time only one day.
…and YES…Windows Updates popped up…but now doing 3-5 a time…only 150 to go. :o

PC has all Updates installed…few at a time…painful.
Had to do few defrags in between.
Final defrag was only 45minutes instead of DAYS.
MBAM scan ran in 30 minutes, Avast Full in 45mins…instead of DAYS.
Machine is old Celeron but now pretty snappy for my daughter to use.
Like most of my older W7 based machines I’ve installed NEVER10 to suppress MS trying to force a W10 upgrade.
I know the “free offer” goes away soon but like previous XP, some machines just don’t need W10…W7 is fine for what they are used for.
Personally, I’m a W10 fan…glad I never used W8…seemed along lines of Windows Millenium (remember that fiasco after W98 ?).
Anyway, just have to run a Macrium Image to my USB HDD and done !!!
