It appears that 26.9 is being pushed out without yet an official announcement post in the Forum. I’m waiting before going ahead. The 26.8 announcement looked good BTW.

I agree. Avast should make an announcement here on the forum, prior to releasing a new public version.
I was confused that v26.9 was downloaded from links on v26.8 forum announcement.
I have already pleaded for a v26.9 public release announcement. See: New beta version – build 26.10.11181 - #4 by rocksteady

Avast is now telling me it is out of date and I should update to the latest version.
Still no 26.9 information about what I’m updating to exactly. So no.
The New version 26.8 (18.08.2026) post’s OFFLINE INSTALLERS links have become stale (download 26.9, but not 26.10)
“Avast” seems likely a customer support rep making clueless guesses. Or could reflect the lack of a real coherent plan to force out Avast One because that would make life easier for “Avast.”

Hi all, update 26.9 is live since 16/Sep/2026. Release notes should be shared soon. Sorry for the delay and the confusion!

It’s just been posted here:
But it does have links to the off-line installation files.
