We are a church (obviously non-profit), and I want to make sure we can download and use Avast on our computers here. We want to glorify the Lord and make sure we’re legally doing what we’re supposed to… so is it okay to load on our computers here without having to pay for the Professional version?

I shake my head in disbelief every time I receive an email from a company trying to convince me to trust them with my business, which is tagged as “virus free” by AVG Free or avast! Home. :
Churches and other non-profit organizations should use the commercial version. You can apply for a discount here.
If cost remains an insurmountable issue, there is PC Tools AV that is free for any use, but it is not as stable, configurable and trustworthy as avast!
(Un)fortunately, you’re not a Home user… You’ll need the Pro version.
Yes the discount for non-profit organizations is 50%.
