Warn when downloading files with poor reputation not working in v19.1

Hello everyone,

I’m new to this forum
I have a question regarding about “Warn when downloading files with poor reputation” (Web Shield module) not functioning in Avast free 19.1
I read somewhere in this forum that some users have the same problem and this feature only works when we disable File Shield, not recommended by the developers

Everything I have done to get it to work failed: repair, clean install avast, install on different machines with different OS-es

Is there anyway to make it work again??

Version: Avast free and internet security 19.1.2360 (build 19.1.4142.0)

  • Other security related software installed: Novirusthanks Syshardner
  • Which AV(s) did you use before Avast: Kaspersky Security cloud free

Or wait for the update in early Feb.

I think you already have an answer, it does not work until File Shield is disabled.
I don’t think it will start working again, as new settings does not have this option and its function is now mostly alternated by CyberCapture.
