I didn’t check that other thread, so there may well have been a reminder there. But one of the standard ongoing warnings is that MS never advises of updates via email, any more than your bank (or other operation involving money transactions) verifies alleged security breaches that way.
Standard rule is, simply delete anything like that without even opening.
