Warnings pop up when I'm not doing anything

Almost as soon as I open my email, Avast pops up with a warning stating they are blocking this site or another – but I haven’t even opened or clicked on any link. I’m just scrolling through email, and here it comes. What is that???

First, I’m an Avast user and not an Avast Team member.

There isn’t a great deal of detail in the question. Is this webmail, viewed through your browser or email you have downloaded and viewed in your email program (not a browser) ?

What is the likelihood that these emails contain links to external sites ?
Presumably these are Avast Alerts ?

This is my email app, not a browser. Yes, some of them do contain links to sites, but they are legitimate emails and sites … BUT the warning from Avast lists a different site altogether when it pops up. That’s what’s confusing. Avast keeps telling me it’s blocked access to this site or the other … sites I’m not trying to access.

It just did it again. I haven’t even opened any message to loook at it. I’m just looking at the inbox folder, and Avast is screaming that it blocked me from some chrispitt site, stating it’s spam. Good grief. I’m not doing anything.

Being in your inbox could mean the emails in there are active or Avast wouldn’t be Alerting. So something is active, what is the question.

Unfortunately I can’t see what you see so some screenshots of the Alerts with the See details option selected may help.

Save your screenshot on your desktop of local image folder. You should be able to drag and drop that image into your post/reply, as I have here.
