Was Avast going to delete my entire Downloads folder had I not looked closer?

I did a scan and Avast said I had “Performance Issues”.

It’s a good thing I looked at what Avast was about to delete before clicking the GIANT GREEN “Resolve” button, otherwise my whole Downloads folder would’ve been deleted.

Please look into this. An unsuspecting person might lose a lot of data.

Well, you are correct - it will delete the download folder. I did not realize this and I had to re-create my download folder from a back up.

You do know that “clean up”, removal, shouldn’t be done with blinder on.
It’s one of the reasons why it’s interactive and you need to agree to the removal before it happens.
Realize that this is serious business. Not something to tackle if you aren’t sure you know what you are doing.
