Hit the update button. It looks like it is showing the correct version to update to. 10.3.2225

I did try to update and even though it shows the correct version to update to 10.3.2225 it shows what’s in my screenshot.

So, it is a botched ad that is causing you problems? Have you tried restarting your computer then updating?

I tried to update again this morning but once again it showed the same in my screenshot. I don’t want to to do an uninstall, then reinstall.

You could try a repair:

Control Panel → Programs & Features → Avast
Click on ‘Repair’.
Follow instructions.
Reboot.

Have you tried right click on the Avast system tray icon and the select update > Program ???

I’ve tried that several times but each time I get what’s shown in my screenshot. Never had a problem updating the program before so I don[t know why I can’t update the latest program version now.

I can’t see how but if that’s the case the only choice is a clean install.

Download Avast Uninstall Utility to your Desktop.
Download the correct version of Avast
Avast Free
Avast Pro
Avast Internet Security
Avast Premier
Disconnect from the net
Uninstall Avast via control panel

[]Run the uninstall tool and accept the reboot to safe mode
[]Once complete reboot your system
[*]Reinstall Avast

Went through all that for nothing. Couldn’t find version 10.3.2225, only 2223 so it installed the same version I already had.

Not sure whether or not my Virus Definitions are up to date as I have 150823.0.

I’ve had so many problems with this new computer…about ready to throw it in the trash.
