I was sent this e-mail saying my subscription was cancelled and then I was charged anyway about a week later.
The third email from the top, says subscription cancelled and then the next email they charged me on April 6th.

I forgot to mention that I was charged through a seperate e-mail and my account is apparently associated with another. But neither of these accounts register in their system when I try to retrieve my password. I get “email not in our system” error.
Upon further inspection I see that one charge is associated with a VPN but the other is associated with Avast Cleanup premium, this is extremely confusing as I simply read the subjects of the e-mail’s and I assumed my subscription was cancelled. Since that is literally what it says. They need to specify EXACTLY what is being cancelled in the subject, furthermore having auto renew on by default is extremely shady. They could avoid all of the issues I see people reporting if they would just have that off by default.
Sending e-mails that say verbatim “Your subscription has been cancelled” is extremely misleading if your subscription isn’t actually cancelled!
And please do not have auto renewal on by default!
I’ve reported this topic to Avast for you. You’ll need to wait for them to reply to yours issues.
