Was There a Big Update .. Today?

Did Avast 5 have a larger than normal update today? ???

Don’t Just Mean… Definition Update :-
But along with a definition update… Was anything else updated?

Coz…

Approx 11am This Morning…
Started up my - Laptop … " You’re Virus Database Has Been Updated "

Approx 3pm This Afternoon - Ready for my son coming home from school…
Started up my - Desktop … " You’re Virus Database Has Been Updated "

Just as I’m fiddling around with the - Desktop … That is in a different room to my - Laptop

Hear a voice coming from my Laptop in the other room - " You’re Virus Database Has Been Updated "

Thought! … " Blimey! - Avast 5 Is Busy Today " 8)

Approx 1 Hour Ago - Laptop
I was just typing in my laptop’s OneNote - & - :o
The Avast 5 Ball - Gone From Taskbar!
NO warnings or anything from Vista Security Centre.
I closed down my OneNote - & - Was just going to try restarting my laptop :frowning:
When… The Avast 5 Ball - Back Again! :smiley:

So!
I opened the settings for my Taskbar.
And I reset the - Avast 5 Taskbar Icon…
From - Hide When Inactive
To - Show

Then I went and checked my Desktop computer :-
Avast 5 Ball was still sitting in the Taskbar.
However!
When I Checked… Still needed to reset the - Avast 5 Taskbar Icon…
From - Hide When Inactive
To - Show

I’ve Seen This Missing Taskbar Icon Thing Before ::slight_smile:
With other security software such as Norton and AVG
And it’s almost always when there has been a big update :frowning:

So! … Does anyone know if Avast 5 had a big update today?
