Most programs that you download from the internet the installer itself can contain other unwanted program(s) that a user may not need i.e. disk optimizer and etc etc, it is not malicious. They include such program inside the installer to sponsor etc program something along the lines. So when ever you want to install a program make sure to do a custom install or the most convenient way to avoid these is to install a fantastic program called “Unchecky” (see my signature). This program does the hard work for you ;). You don’t have to worry about unwanted program that will be installed in your computer. Just follow the on-screen installation instruction of your program and any unwanted program(s) that are included in the installation file will be automatically de-selected for you :).

You should always use the Custom Install never default. That allows you to uncheck unwanted items.
Should you miss an unwanted item, Unchecky will most likely unselect that for you. (No such thing as always)
You are your own first line of defense. Or, your own worst enemy…
