  1. Check your system date and time. Does the ‘year’ changed?
    If so, correct it and see if your avast installation works.
    Run a full scan with avast.

  2. See if changing the avast settings (see link bellow) helps. Search for ‘storage’ in the forum. You will have to change ODBC to XML into avast4.ini file.

  3. Try to repair your avast installation through Control Panel
