We have an issue where Avast keep blocking our retail website esmaeandrose.com as a fake e-store

Hi all, we have a problem where Avast keep blocking our website as a “fake-estore”. We have tried numerous times to report as incorrect and checking using online tools to check for issues and results advise the website is all ok and safe. It is only Avast doing this. Can anyone help how to resolve this? it affects our business greatly. We have been trading since 2010 and are a legitimate company.

Any help would be appreciated as Avast just ignore any reports and we get no reply.

First, I’m an Avast user and not an Avast Team member.
You won’t get a direct response but it should be analysed within 48 hours, if found to be false it will be removed. Otherwise it would remain.

You don’t say where you have tested, nor links to results. So it is somewhat hard make any suggestions.

There are sites that can also check a site link and or file upload.

I tested on a few but here are results of the helpful links you sent, i have reported many times but to no avail.

Results;

Here is result from other one. This is the one i used originally to check

Not really much else I can do in that regard.

When you get an Avast Alert are you using the option in the Alert Window to report as a false positive ?

Or are you using this link to report both a False Positive and or a False Negative (for File or URL)

I’ve done both multiple times over past month and nothing. Still flags up.

This is quite unprofessional from Avast, it’s obviously an Avast detection issue if it’s the only AV detecting it. Furthermore, Virus Total Avast does not detect it, but the desktop one does? Can it get more confusing?

If you are scanning a URL in Virus Total - you should notice that Avast Isn’t even listed. Not that it doesn’t detect it, but because the Web Shield only does live scans on your browser connections and not on-demand scans of a URL.

No reply from them and no doubt this will affect my business. I use avast myself but starting to think might cease to use them over this as its unfair on a small business to brand them as fake e-store when clearly we are not! They are not providing any information to help us resolve or correct why the software is branding us as fake.
