i was with my friend in university today and i talk to him about security issues,he ask me what av i use and i tell him in my test pc:avast home,in my real work pc:avast pro,in my linux:dr.web,in my laptop norton 2010.
he tell me that"so you cracked avast and norton,but i say no norton come to me from my cousin and i buy avast from UAE through my cousin"
he said"he has a keygen for avast"i know avast warn the pirated user so i laugh on him and told him it wont work,and i take the keygen"i hate keygens cracks coz they take the work of other people"
i run the keygen avast dont warn me,and put the key in avast licence and it work and no one tell me that i am pirated of course i will uninstall the licence and come back to home "
please make your registration more powerful like kaspersky or norton,please brothers i love you and your work and dont like to be stolen from fucking people,good bye

The time when they are usually found is when the user tries to get VPS updates not at the time of inserting the key.
That way a database can be maintained in one location and updated without having to update users systems.
You should send a sample of the key-gen program to avast, in the normal way, either zipped, password protected attachment with the password in the email body, emailed to virus (at) avast (dot) com or add to the User files section of the chest and send from there (this is I believe the best way). Give some information on why it is submitted and a link to this topic, etc.
ok DavidR i will do what you say,but you are accept that the registration process is not good and need to be more difficult on f****** crackers
First, the fact that the key is accepted doesn’t mean anything - it may stop working (or popups may start to appear) a few weeks later, for example.
Second, the registration will be different in avast! 5, so I don’t think you’ll find keygens for that 
ok igor that a good news ,really i love your free work and love to got a money for what you doing there.i program a lot of programs for free and i respect that if the programmer needs a money for his work he should take it.
i own all free or really paid programs even my windows xp and vista .

Off-line keys will be available also.
i think the online database is the best.
used by eset,kaspersky,norton,…
for the offline pcs is to put the pirated keys in the virus database and updated in every update so if i have an offline pc with pirated avast and i update off line the data base will uncover the pirated copy and disable the program.
great idea by a superhacker,is not it?
