Please excuse my ignorance but what is the difference between the web and the network shield please.?

Would i be correct in assuming the network shield is a form of firewall in nature. :-[

Yes and No, yes in the fact it monitors some commonly used exploit ports, no as in it doesn’t monitor all ports or outbound traffic as such.

But when a connection attempt is made to a site, the network shield checks to see if it is on its malicious sites list.
