Web browser

Which are the navigators who avast offers protection?

I know it’s hard for others o write in english, but i never understand you?
You mean browsers?
All browsers are supported by avast! for both Web Shield and Standard Shield.

Joooo, you’ve inspired me to change my avatar! Thanks.

LOL Lukor, laugh U must or the darkside claim U it will ;D

@Joooo, do U mean the script blocker in Avast?

If so the script blocker works with IE & Mozilla but not firefox for some weird reason (mozilla & firefox are basically the same code & engine.

If U mean the webshield provider in Avast then it will check all browsers while U surf.

BaNzI ;D

Avast should support most of the common web browsers such as IE, Firefox, Netscape, Opera, Green Browser, etc.

I don’t think MSN browser is supported by Webshield but it does support by Standard.

Deepnet Explorer personal Edition .
Web Shield didn’t work with this browser i tried about a month ago but Standard Shield does.
www.deepnetexplorer.com Address if anyone wants to try this web browser, i thought it was a pretty good browser.

Cheers

My bad,all browsers are supported only in Power Mode. Only all the major ones are supported by default. Otherwise it doesn’t matter for as long as it’s using HTTP ports…

You should be able to add Deepnet Explorer to the OptIn list in avast4.ini in the [WebScanner] section, (OptIn=DEpE-executableFileName.exe). I believe that would include it in the web shield scanning if you are prepared to accept that it may not be completely compatible if it uses any non-web standards stuff.

Exactly, with one small correction:
[WebScanner]
OptinProcess=DEpE-executableFileName.exe

Thanks Lukor,

I wasn’t exactly sure of the syntax as I don’t have that line in my avast4.ini.

I’ve updated last Sunday the avast4.ini file thread…
The syntax is here http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=1647.msg15960#msg15960
If you don’t have that line, as you know (just posting for the others), you can add it 8)

Thanks for all your info.

Cheers
