Does Avast have web form for submitting suspicious files and new virus samples like Avira or MBAM? Sending samples by email to virus@avast.com sometimes could be pain in the as*.
Not a web form as such.
You can add the file to the User Files (File, Add) section of the avast chest (if it isn’t already in the chest) where it can do no harm and send it from there. A copy of the file/s will remain in the original location, so you will need to take further action and can remove/rename that.
Send it from the User Files section of the chest (select the file, right click, email to Alwil Software). It will be uploaded (not actually emailed) to avast when the next avast auto (or manual) update is done.
Thanks for the prompt response DavidR!
OK, I done according to your instruction but have one malware sample that can not be sent by “Email to Alwil software” shortcut in context menu.
Are you interested into checking it?
Why can’t it be sent, what error message ?
I suspect size of the file, if so you can adjust a setting which should allow it to be sent.
Using the avast Program Settings (right click the avast ‘a’ icon), Chest, and increase the Maximum file size to send so that it is greater than the size of the file you are trying to send.
