Web Rep failing again!

Once again I am having difficulties with Web Rep in IE9. It no long displays ratings icons in the search results. It does not matter what search engine I use, no icons show on the results page. Is anyone else having this problem and does anyone have a solution?

I have tha same problem exactly.
I mozilla latest stable version web rep is ok but in IE9 I have no more ratings display.

Me too

I would say the problem is related to the backend servers, there either offline or maybe being upgraded hoprfully, webrep hasn’t been very stable at the best of times but its not a security issue so im not bothered.

If it was a backend server problem, why would Web Rep work properly in other browsers and not in IE9?

Have you checked other browsers?

Iv got webrep here on IE9 and Firefox - the green icon is there at the top of the page but no results next to search links.

The other day in another thread someone reported that it was working OK in Chrome.

Working in firefox 13.0.1 on web pages and in searches, not working in IE8 searches but is in web pages.

I just installed Chrome and it is working in search results so I doubt if it is a server problem. Is it working for anyone in IE9?

I take it that it has worked previously in IE9 on your system ?

Yes, it was previously working in IE9. I first noticed that it was not working about a week ago. BTW, I did try rolling back to 7.0.1428 and it did not work with it either.

Do you use the 64bit version of IE9 as I’m not sure if that can’t be a bit troublesome with add-ons/plug-ins at times.

No, I use the 32 bit version of IE9. Like you said, I had too many problems with plug-ins with the 64 bit version.

OK, just clutching at a very short straw.

Thanks David for trying to help. I can’t think of anything else to check. Maybe someone from Avast will see the posts and come up with something.

You’re welcome, sorry it wasn’t more productive.

You could use this Chrome Extension based on AVG Linkscanner Data for a Web Rep https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/ncnjjicckpooflgclhneahpkahcpoama

If the AVG Linkscanner Data is a toolbar like the one in firefox it cab a right royal pain in the rear to remove it. This from one of our malware removal specialists. Personally I would steer clear.

…You know it is not a Toolbar…lol…It is like any other Chrome Extension that can be disabled in 10 seconds…I tried it before but think this and other Web Reps are useless so i don’t use them and disable them like i did the one in Avast…

at current point, webrep is working in chrome but not in IE9 for me…2 days ago it was the reverse…i guess avast team is working with the problems
