I had IE for a long time and WebRep worked fine, but I just downloaded Chrome and installed the plug in for webrep, closed chrome and reopened it, but it doesnt show up on chrome and it doenst show up in the extensions either.
Hi Stevepac
I have the same problem, downloaded Chrome last night version 16.0.912.63
Don’t know if you are interested or not i installed wot and it is working okay.
Hi iYogisolutions1
I tried both suggestions from above using Avast UI and doing a repair using add remove .
Still no webrep.
Download the latest avast! version that you have purchased and save it.
3.Run the avast! Uninstall Utility in safe mode and restart to Normal mode. (Run the tool two or three times by selecting the respective folder)
I to have a problem making WebRep appear. I have yet to get it to appear, yet on my girlfriend’s computer it appeared just fine when I installed it on hers yesterday. Could it be that XP has a problem using WebRep? Thats the only difference between hers and mine. I prefer XP and she got Windows 7. Its not critical that I get it working but it would be nice to be able to explore all of Avast!s features. I recently switched to it from AVG.
Hmmm. My second thought was maybe the theme’s code could be messing with something, on some random off chance. Tested it, obviously wasn’t it. I wonder what could be making it not work correctly if the suggested solutions haven’t worked.
I’ve just noticed that if I run chrome in the sandbox webrep doesn’t load properly. If I click the mouse where it should be I see a message saying that webpage could’t be found.
How rude of me not to reply. Went away for a little while sorry.
I uninstalled the plug in, restarted, re-install, restarted, and nothing changed.
Repaired Avast, nothing changed.
Re-installed Avast, nothing changed.
I am not running it in sandbox.
It does not appear in the extensions area in Options. I dont know how to make it appear, I hit Load Unpacked Extension and went to where WebRep was located and it was just a folder so it didnt work.
He stated before that it wasn’t working when he tried the solutions so I am assuming no. So that makes three people here that can’t get WebRep working x-x.
