A lot of people are making a big deal of webrep not working. To me all webrep is a guide that a few user say this page or that page is safe,if enough users says a bad one is safe, then all the green lines light up.What if it isn’t safe ??? Its only a guide that has absolutely nothing to do with how well Avast works.Don’t judge you security system by the webrep.I don’t,and my system is working great.
It’s not crucial but it’s somewhat useful. If a google result has green bars then that means that it is most likely safe to click on. I’d rather have it be working.

Not really. In google search type sex look at it all green. Not good.
I never even install it. Not my idea of security.

I agree that it certainly is not the most critical aspect of avast!, but if they’re going to have it, it should work seamlessly. The phishing protection alone is not insignificant, so while it in and of itself is not “security” as such, it certainly is an element thereof.
Cheers!

All these little green bars may look nice in the browsers, but I’m not sure the venture is really worth the time and hassle for the avast team… ???
+1 and more when it contribue sometime to slow down navigator
But thanks , we can disable it
Well the intention is that the WebRep will also have a security function, not just a reputation only function.
Check out the Additional Protection, Browser Protection, Settings:
It already has some of that additional security functionality built in now - Browser plugin tab, Plugin Settings, Enable phishing filter. Also the SiteCorrect tab functions.
