web scanner slow - Windows 7

Hi,
I have avast 4.8.1335 installed on W7 beta x64 (with the tdx hotfix)

Avast has been working fine with all capabilities for about 1.5 weeks, and for just under 2 months without the network scanning options.

The last 2 days or so I’ve noticed web browsing is very slow. Switching off the web scanner got me back to normal performance.

Any ideas? I wonder if it’s a conflict as I also have Microsoft “family safety” installed around a week ago…

Windows 7, as you know, is a beta version. It can have all kinds of problems. Therefor Windows 7 is not in the list of supported operating systems by avast. Yes, the network shield can make browsing slower. “Play” around with the settings for it and see if it makes a difference.

PS:
Can you run HijackThis and sent me the log file?
I have a little util that can analyze logs from HJT and want to update it so it will also recognize Windows 7.
