Hello everyone…recently i have been having a problem…avast says there is nothing wrong, spybot come up clean, and mbam comes up clean…i search for anything in internet explorer and it brings up the bing results…nothing wrong there…but if i click on one of these results it redirects me to some other off the wall search site instead of the link that bing has listed…i am about to pull my hair out…please help… ???

Hi,

Can you please follow the first post in this topic : http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=53253.0 and post back the logs here(use additional options while posting to upload the logs)? I will notify essexboy, the malware removal expert

Here are my logs

Hi I see you have run combofix - could you attach the log please

Start OTS. Copy/Paste the information in the quotebox below into the panel where it says “Paste fix here” and then click the Run Fix button.

[Unregister Dlls]
[Files/Folders - Modified Within 30 Days]
NY ->  cssayapmoq.job -> C:\Windows\tasks\cssayapmoq.job
[Empty Temp Folders]
[EmptyFlash]
[CreateRestorePoint]
[Reboot]

The fix should only take a very short time. When the fix is completed a message box will popup telling you that it is finished. Click the Ok button and Notepad will open with a log of actions taken during the fix. Post that information back here

I will review the information when it comes back in.

ok ran the fix…here is the log…i tried running combofix but all i got was a progress bar and nothing else…after another search test it’s still has control… :-[

It will be some time before essexboy is back on-line (after work tomorrow), it is 3a.m. in the UK now so he will be asleep now.

Cannot create restore point. Unable to start RPC service!
This could be a problem.

If AVP crashes during the virus scan then proceed direct to the analysis scan please

Download AVPTool from Here to your desktop

Run the programme you have just downloaded to your desktop (it will be randomly named )

First we will run a virus scan

On the first tab select all elements down to Computer and then select start scan
Once it has finished select report and post that.

Do not close AVPTool or it will self uninstall, if it does uninstall - then just rerun the setup file on your desktop

Now an analysis scan

Select the Manual Disinfection tab
Press the Gather System Information button
Once done Open the last report saved folder upload the entire zip file to Mediafire and post the sharing link. The file is located at C:\Users[i]your name[/i]\Desktop\Virus Removal Tool\setup_9.0.0.722_05.01.2011_20-34\LOG\avptool_sysinfo.zip

ran the virus removal tool…did a test…worked fine now…thanks still atached the logs tho…

http://kangashanes.webhop.org/avptool_sysinfo.zip is the zip file

Could you now retry combofix for me please

not to spole this thread but i would suggest you remove spybot seens is no good program anymore it can’t keep up with the malware out there. just a small tips from me, but do this when your computer is clean.
