In the WebSheild advanced setting, what is the recommended setting out of the choices…

  1. Show detailed info on performed action
  2. Silent Mode
  3. leave both unchecked

Thanks for any advice on this or any other impotant setting that is not automatically actioned as default.

The avast defaults are the recommended setting. (Your choice 3).

Outside of the avast defaults, my only suggestion is to bump up the sensitivity to High in the Web Shield and Internet Mail providers. Other than that my settings are as the default.

You would soon get tired of the Show detailed info on performed action Option.
I believe in knowing what is going on in my system so wouldn’t use Silent Mode.

I would suggest a read of the avast Help file, Resident Protection, which gives information on the various settings.
