Hey guys, that’s pretty much the whole problem - Avast! seemed to be blocking almost all of my internet access (via browsers). In Chrome, I get the “Unable to access the network” error. When I disable Web Shield, there is no problem. I have also tried disabling several settings inside of the Web Shield “Expert Settings” to no avail.
Please help! I don’t want to give up on Avast!, things have been going so good! But this is simply unacceptable!
Same problem here! Started happening today, never had any problem with Avast or internet before. Disabling the webshield solves it, but I would prefer a better solution to this.
I’ve read threads on here pertaining to this problem and have seen the nightmarish journey they’ve been on… I feel like I’m entering that realm. Ugh.
I actually just did that, Pondus. Seems to be working ok for now, but now whenever I restart, my Windows Firewall is disabled. Think that’s an outside issue though.
