I’ve Avast Antivirus Free installed for a few months on my Win 7 32- bit home PC. A few days ago I found I could not get Net access via any browser even though I was connected to teh Internet and I could ping sites.
I disabled Web Shield and that fixed it. I uninstalled and reinstalled Avast with no change.
It’s not my Windows firewall. Disabling the firewall does not fix the problem.
Searching the site didn’t reveal any other current solutions.
What should I look at? I’d like to restore Web Shield.
