Is this normal for Web Shield to get this high?

Whist 17 MB might seem a lot, it would depend on what you were doing, if a large file was being downloaded, etc. then the web shield’s memory usage would go up but once finished it should go back down.
Currently Task Manager shows mine as Men Usage 13MB but if you look at the VM Size (this is supposed to be a more accurate figure to actual use) it shows 8MB. But these figures are really small beer when compared to firefox (Mem Usage/VM Size 83mb/72mb), Outpost Firewall (25mb/21mb), Explorer (13mb/16mb).
