Web Shield issue

Hi All,

Did anyone notice the following :

  • start downloading a file from Internet (supposed you didn’t turned off the web shield since your last reboot)
  • cancel the download
    you’ll notice that the web shield keep downloading.
    Is that a bug?

As for me, it’s not a blocking issue, just a bothering bug that keep my bandwidth used when it shouldn’t be anymore.

Thanks to make avast free, I used to be with InoculateIT then came to PC Cillin to end with Avast! !

What exact version of Avast do you have?
If it is not 4.6.618 I suggest you upgrade and see if the problem is solved.

I have autoupdate enabled.
I just did a manual update and got the following :

  • Programme: Déjà à jour ==>Software already updated
    (version actuelle 4.6.603) ==>current version 4.6.603
  • Vps: Déjà à jour ==>Vps already updated
    (version actuelle 0510-1) ==>current version 0510-01

Serveur: download16.avast.com (70.84.132.26)
Fichiers téléchargés: 3 (0,03 KB) ==>Files downloaded

once again I should have taken a closer look to the main topic… Shame on me !

For those who wonder what I mean, look at this post :http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=11828.0, in particular the line that states “WebShield now terminating abruptly ended connections”…
