Web Shield Keeps Turning off?

Hi there,

New to the board so, sorry if I sound a bit wet behind the ears. Anyway, I’ve just started having an issue with the Avast web shield turning itself off…3 times in one day! I use Avast 7 (free), Comodo Firewall and Malwarebytes Pro as my security, and have a network of 4 computers with exactly the same setup…no issues on the other 3. I would appreciate any direction with this. I’m not exactly at panic stations but I am a little concerned :-.

OK, let’s start with a repair…

Repair avast!:

  1. Control Panel → Add/Remove programs → avast!
  2. Click on ‘Repair’.
  3. Follow instructions.
  4. Reboot.

If Repair doesn’t fix the problem, try the following:

Whilst it could work, but adding to a topic that is over 4 years old isn’t good, much will have change since then.
