I dont know why the web shield is not showing graphics in the real time shields view. here is the screenshot. By the way, by te time im writing the web shiel isn’t scanning the avast forum page, neither when loading nor when refreshing it. Why is that? and the logs are empty.
Is this a bug in this version? o what?
Have you gone through your expert settings for webshield to make sure something hasn’t accidentally gotten unchecked?
Yea, i have checked that nothing is missing, everything is ok. And still no scanning.
You can try disabling/reenabling the webshield, and also a repair from add/remove programs. Could be contention, though. What other security software are you using, even if it is disabled?
you can also try disabling and re-enabling avast services…
I have tried enabling/renabling services, and stopping web shield and re-enabling it, and no success, is the same, i will try repairing installation. I will post the result. Thanks pals for your help.
Well, i tried by repairing option, but is the same. No scanning. Here is the log.
What other security programs do you have installed, even if disabled? Or did you have installed? Things like Norton, for example, often prevent other security software from working properly, even if removed.
Well i have only MSE, no other, and MSE is deactivated, is just installed. No other security software. And also i have tested Free version 5.0.394, and there the web shield is scanning even with MSE activated.
Don’t those graphs require that Flash for Internet Explorer be installed? It’s ActiveX.

the animations, ie the graphs yes, but the detail of what is scanned and appearing in the form of just a text line doesn’t require flash…
