Hi all,
I have installed the avast free 5.0. I realised that that the wed shield is not running properly. Although is stated as RUNNING, but the results is always 0/0 not matter how many websites i visited. What’s wrong?
Note: All my shields are shown as RUNNING.
The Web Shield should operate out of port 12080 on your firewall.
Assign your browser to port 12080 outgoing on your firewall. See if that works.
Also, the Web Shield can’t scan HTTPS traffic.

What is your browser, if it isn’t one of the main stream ones it may not be directly supported ?
However changing the browser proxy settings as mentioned should resolve that if it is an unsupported browser.
