Web Shield partially blocking Internet access Windows 8.1

I just installed Avast on my new computer. Literally just built it yesterday. Running a freshly installed Windows 8.1 (full version, not pro), it was installed from usb. And I am having the “Web Shield blocks Internet Access”-issue. Well the Internet still works, but only if I refresh every page several times and even then most images are screwed up. Either not loading or loading in, but looking like a jigsaw puzzle. Looks like it has been cut up and reassembled. Downloads also periodically stop halfway in.

Disabling the Web Shield within avast resolves the issue.

Not sure if it’s any help, but the new computer is:
Maximus VII Formula
i7 4790k
Corsair Vengeance Pro 2x8gb 2400Mhz - CMY16Gx3M2A2400C11R
EVGA Geforce 780 6GB
It is all being water cooled, but I doubt that has anything to do with it.

To note. I also recently installed avast on my older computer which is running windows 7 ultimate (full updated). There doesn’t seem to be any problem there, which makes me think the issue is related to either Windows 8.1 or my hardware, which is all fairly new.

I am also including my farbar logs as that seems to be the norm around here

Would you happen to be using Adguard? I was getting the jigsaw effect when using Adguard “windows filtering platform” driver with avast.

I see you have Adblock installed so if you wish to use that then try removing avasts browser protection ( AOS )

Also could you disable Avast Online security plug in

Well I don’t think it’s related to either the AOS or adblock plus to be honest. Seeing as I have neither installed in Internet Explorer, but the problem persists there as well.

I did try to disable them anyways though. One at a time first and then both at the same time. Doesn’t seem to have much effect either way. The problem persists.

Edit:
Well I guess AOS is installed in IE as well. Don’t really use IE much.

You can uninstall the browser protection via Programs and Features, click to uninstall avast and on the following screen choose change and untick Browser Protection in the centre column, everything in that centre list is optional.
