This has already been discussed in another thread (the Introducing beta update one I think) and the Alwil position is they aren’t prepared to do it because of possible compatibility issues of checking all programs that use the http port.
If there is a problem with compatibility for a program they haven’t tested when the power mode is ticked then they are the ones who would have to field the help and support requests.
If so, why not disable this feature in the avast4.ini file too!?
Oh, God. And if it would not be possible via the .ini file, why not adding it there if it is already implemented, right?
What would be the point of doing so?

I have no idea why Alwil wouldn’t/don’t disable this within the avast4.ini (text file), I can’t speak for them.
However, that takes a deliberate act on the part of the user to modify the avast4.ini file rather than an inquisitive user ticking the box.
If it’s in the GUI interface then it is an implied/official action/function of avast! that would have to be supported if problems were experienced. Someone having made that edit and experiencing problems would/should know how to reverse it.
This might not be as obvious with someone having ticked a box as often happens with the ‘Show detailed information’ box. This function is off by default but there are numerous requests as to how to switch it off. So they changed a default setting without knowing what it did or recognise the associated detailed information being displayed with there having ticking that box.

At the beginning of Web Shield I can use it with Ad Muncher without setting proxies, and now I can’t…
Of course that I want, at least, this option via .ini file…

If you understand what are doing then certainly you have enough skills to edit a plain text file. We are not talking about some tedious work that you have to do repeatedly. Turn it on, if you like, and that’s it.
BTW: Speaking about ad-munch, hmmm, previous versions did not work quite right with webshield as far as I remember. Their new version might work properly today – perhaps there is time to re-evalute this software and possibly add it to the Optin process list.
Again, you can do it (just once) yourself in the configuration file. (avast4.ini) Simply edit the OptinProcess option or turn the Optin off, it’s up to you.
Manage a computer and other things… isn’t a problem for me…
I just thought that if you add some configs to the new version you can also add this one, but as I saw on the other topic, still exists incompability problem with the Web Shield, so I understand you work…
I’m using the Ad Muncher 4.7 build 17353, and doesn’t work…

One more comment to ad-mucher.
Ad-muncher uses the Optin mode too. That is it only filters processes that are explicitly configured in it’s list. Exactly as avast does and probably the same reasons are behind.
Of course you can remove Internet Explorer (or your favorite browser) from it’s list and add WebShield there. That would also do the trick - what I mean is, there are several ways how to configure avast! with ad-muncher (including the proxy, optin=0 mode, OptinProcess, proper ad-muncher configuration). Certainly manageable.
This works, but I have to remove a lot of files from the list to all works with Web Shield…
if I have this in avast4.uni:
OptIn=1
OptinProcess=admuncher.exe
The WebShield didn’t scan…
the process name is admunch.exe
Just re-thought this. It’s not that easy - it can be done, but as WebShield is a service it requires some special handling from ad-muncher. Some info is in their help file.

You are right, I wrote the name file badly… 
I will start to use this option instead of set the OptIn=0…
On the v5.0 of avast!, we will have a new GUI where we can set the exclusions under the options dialog?
