Hey Avast Ueberevangeliste, On my HP newer laptop Avast Web Shield is again turned OFF.
What is that? Very often Web Sheild turn off and cannot be turned on.
I will not reject my licence remaining until nov. 2050(Maybe?). MF.
I applied the procedure indicated by Asyn and Bob (AvastClear and Fresh Install).
Now OK.
But i became suspicious…
PS. Very embarrassing problem… I am very angry.
This behavior seems to be a joke.
Anyone know if this is just a visual UI bug, or my web shield is really off and I have no protection?
I think that if this error would be only an UI bug,
it would have been solved long ago.

The keyword is you “think”. Try not sounding moronic first, then think. You may have better results.
I’ve been an IT manager for 20-plus years and any kind of bug could be tough to fix. If a bug takes long to fix, it is usually because it is something the programmers don’t see very often. Could be something obvious, or not.
Are you saying your license is valid till 2050 ???
Yep, saw the same thing: afaik avast does not provide legitimate and valid licenses for that long ?

Oh people… I haven’t installed any crack. I have licenses for all my Avast Antivirus installed.
At this moment i have 2 valid licences for only one installation. It was by my mistake.
The question with year 2050 was a joke. I hope to survive until 2050…(at the age of 99 years)
For CraigB, i will not reject my licence until 2050(that means that i will RENEW every year my licence BY PAYING a small fee).
Don’t be so sure that i am that kind of guy.
For MagicShield, i was a programmer(I don’t know, a good one, a bad one…). Now i am retired. Please excuse my thoughts!
