While reading on a safe site (so I thought) www.answers.yahoo and got a quick flash from Avast. Web Shield logs: Web url - Http://indexca.php?t202id=300048t2.
Severity: high – Status: Threat: html:script:script.inf - Action: blocked
Would someone please comment on this sort of threat. Really don’t know much about script stuff but have had a couple of message boxes which said: Stack overflow at line: 0. What I have been able to find out about stack overflow was that it was some script fault of the web site and is no kind of threat?
I have a question about Avast Scans please: In both quick & complete scans, should ‘pup scan’ be turned off or on? It is showing off right now.

PUP = not a virus / Possible Unwanted Program. pup scan is default off in quick/full scan and default on in boot scan
when avast give a pup detection it is just telling that you have a program that can be used for good ar bad if abused, so you need to know what to do when something is detected as PUP
many factory installed programs from Toshiba / Dell / HP / and legit keyloggers are classed as PUP by avast bc of what they can do
so unless you know what to do, leave avast scan settings at default

No surprise, I get similar alerts on Cnet and some other popular sites. Yahoo! Answers just like Cnet are both perfectly safe sites, alerts are caused by ads. For some reasons, my antivirus blocks certain domains or javascript files used to load those ads. Not sure why, I guess because of bad records.
