Hi…
I installed a trial version of Avast IS-6 and don’t get browsing internet with default settings. Only stopping Web Shield…
Firewall settings was default. Is that way Avast IS works?
Could someone help me?
Thanks.

Whilst you say you have no other AVs, what did you have installed previously, as they have a habit of leaving remnants ?
What was your previous firewall ?
What errors are you getting when you try to browse ?

I was using ZoneAlarm Internet Security and uninstalled it using cpes_clean.exe tool, as avast support recommended.
When I try to browse (Chrome, FF or IE) the pages don’t load.
Thank you.

I have never heard of this cpes_clean.exe tool before, seems that this is quite an olde ZA removal tool from the google hits I saw.
I don’t know if you were using an up to date one, but you could try this site and see if they can offer some advice/tools.
Also see http://www.askvg.com/ultimate-collection-of-uninstallers-removal-tools-for-all-popular-anti-virus-software/ for others not listed above.
and http://uninstallers.blogspot.com/
The latter has quite a selection of up to date tools normally from the programs home site.
Try a repair installation of avast.
Control panel / add remove progs / Avast → doubleclick, scroll down to “repair” option.
Reboot and check.
Also check this (applies to XP as well).
