I’ve been using Avast for a long time and it’s the number 1 avs I suggest to people nowadays.
However, you guys must have missed one thing when it comes to protecting users.
How come the registration e-mail send from this forum shows the user name and password?
I guess many users will come to this forum seeking assistance when being infected, and if they use the same user name and password as on many other sites they could be in a lot of trouble.
Please share your reasons for doing this.

Btw, you never should use the same pw for different sites.
I know this since a long time ago, but I guess both you and I know for a fact that most users tend to use the same password.
If they do use the same name and pwd as on other sites, and their mail is compromised, they could have many other accounts compromised as well…

Well, it is default for many services to send e-mail with the password after the registration or confirmation. Because of this it is important to use strong password for the e-mail account and access it only over secured channel.
However you can change your password and delete the message with the password.
My suggestion is as simple as removing the password from the confirmation e-mail.
I’m a technician myself and I’ve been on many forums and sites all over the internet since late 90s, I do know how to protect myself and have my own “password policy” or whatever.
However, as both of you are experienced users you probably know as well as I do that many users will still use the same password, simply because they don’t know better. To help protect the users, my suggestion is that you remove the password from the e-mail. (I really don’t see the point of having it there anyway as they picked that password just a few seconds before they got that mail)
